PCL-K152 - HO - SRC Caboose Kit

The 1925 built Detroit, Toledo and Ironton (DT&I) wood caboose was a multifunctional railcar serving as the conductor’s office, crew quarters, and an observation platform for monitoring train conditions. Built by the Standard Steel Car Company in Butler, Pennsylvania, it featured a combination of steel and wood construction.  This caboose was part of the DT&I Railroad during a transformative period under Henry Ford’s ownership, when the line was modernized to support Ford’s industrial logistics.
