Command Control: Equipped with factory-installed Lionel Trainmaster Command Control (TMCC), allowing it to run via digital command or conventionally with a standard transformer.
Audio System: Features Lionel RailSounds, providing synchronized steam chuffing, a whistle, and a bell (with volume controls located on the belly of the tender).
Couplers: Dual remote-controlled ElectroCouplers on both the front nose of the locomotive and the rear of the tender, enabling prototypical hands-free switching and uncoupling.
